Lot Title: “Lil’ Ammy” — Sunrise Crawler Giant Ammonite Mug by VanTiki, 2021

This highly collectible ceramic cocktail mug, designed and produced by acclaimed ceramicist VanTiki, depicts a juvenile giant ammonite — affectionately known as “Lil’ Ammy.” Representing the Sunrise Crawler species from the fictional world of Mysterious Island, the piece is both whimsical and intricately crafted.

Constructed using multiple molds, the mug underwent an early glaze revision during its first edition due to issues with surface crazing. The revised version, offered here, features a striking blue and white glaze with black pupils — one of four randomized eye variations included in the original run. The bottom of the mug is inscribed: “Lil’ Ammy ©2021 VanTiki”, accompanied by an individual edition number.
